‘Gaze’ wins Diploma of Honor at Guanajuato Intl. Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Jul. 29 (MNA) – Iranian short film ‘Gaze’ by Farnoosh Samadi grabbed Diploma of Honor at the 2018 Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico.

‘Gaze’, directed by Farnoosh Samadi, is about a woman who witnesses something happening in the bus on her way back from work, and she has to decide if she should reveal it or not.

Feature movie 'Oblivion Verses' also won the Best Film Award at Guanajuato International Film Festival.

The primary objective of the Guanajuato International Film Festival is to provide more opportunities for the exhibition and appreciation of films, rewarding their quality so as to allow the artists to continue producing. They intend to bring together newcomers alongside the industry’s most seasoned professionals, to join forces in a very open, accessible and competitive environment.

Since 1998 the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) has been held during the final week of July in the cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato Capital, Mexico.
